ELSTAR Elektronik AG manufacture a range of free-standing, high-speed shock machines which are designed to meet today’s stringent industry quality requirements.
All STM machines work on the principle of the shock table being elevated by a pneumatic ram to a precalculated height in a closed loop manner. The table is the allowed to free fall (or assisted) onto a set of shock pads which determine the shock form and duration.
Key features include:
- Shock amplitude up to 2000g
- Up to ~60 accurate shocks/min
- Data acquisition with closed loop control
- Payload up to max. of 200Kg (440 Pounds)
- Clean and resonant free shocks
- Free standing machine, with own seismic mass
Areas of application
Ideal for prototype or production testing (High shock repetition rate). Main markets include high end watch manufactures, military and defense contractors, aerospace, gas and petrol industries, electronic components, automotive parts, universities, and R&D departments.
Each machine has a performance diagram which clearly shows the working range in terms of the no shock amplitude and duration limits.
As the STM series is a free standing self-contained system with integrated seismic mass, there is no need for special site preparation. All that is required at site is a4-6 bar high pressure air supply and single-phase AC connection.
IMPALA2 our data acquisition and closed loop control software gives great flexibility and is simple to operate.
Accurate, repeatable waveforms: The STM shock test machine gives results which meet a wide range of half sine test specifications, such as EN 60068-2-27, MIL STD 810, DEF STD 07-55, JIS-C, NHIS-90, NHIS-91 and BS 2011.
